Number of cars in Germany at the beginning of the year

The German Federal Ministry (Kraftfahrt-Bundesamt, „KBA“) has published the latest figures.

On January 1st, the number of vehicles in Germany is structured as follows:

42.3 million passenger cars
4.8 million commercial vehicles
3.8 million motorcycles
