Workshop 2014 – a whole new scenario!


Again in this year the AutoView® team held its annual Aftermarket Seminar, but with a new format and a new location: We went directly to the “heart of the industry” – the automechanika in Frankfurt. With the headline “Information – the key to your success” on the 18th of September the team offered an open workshop for customers and interested people during the trade fair.

Two keynotes about “European aftermarket data” and “Big Data in the automotive aftermarket” were the content of a very successful event. The first presentation offered important figures and information about some international vehicle markets, while the second keynote commited to “Big Data”, one of the major IT-buzzwords nowadays and brought this topic in particular into the automotive context.

More than 40 participants from customers, partners and prospects showed up at the workshop during the day. Numerous intense discussions proved that we found the right format for the event. And for 2015 we already check if this event could also fit the French counterpart of the automechanika: the “Equip Auto” in Paris!


Seminar “Aftermarket 2013”

autoview_seminar2013AutoView® is a perennial favorite. Jointly organised by abh Market Research GmbH and INSIGMA IT Engineering GmbH, the forth “Aftermarket” seminar took place on 07.10.2013. This time the Cologne Odysseum provided the appropriate ambience for this event.

Under the title “Aftermarket 2013 – The vehicle and its parts”, the participants devoted themselves to the question of how the players within the automotive service market can draw the right conclusions from parts data which is both large and inconsistent. This is not easy! After all, a vehicle comprises of more than 10,000 individual components, and the vehicle and parts manufacturers both have quite different perspectives on the matter. Whereas the first focuses on the complete product, the parts manufacturer concentrates on its product range. This leads to quite differing databases.
Very often it is not so easy to correctly allocate a replacement part on the basis of this data. Thanks to the analysis capabilities of AutoView®, this problem can be overcome without great effort.

A positive mood and animated discussions proved that the topics covered struck a chord with the participants. It is therefore without question that abh and INSIGMA will continue this event into the future.




Seminar “Aftermarket 2012”

autoview_seminar2012In AutoView® means competence! This has been proved again this year by the companies behind AutoView®, abh Market Research and INSIGMA IT Engineering, with their third edition of the aftermarket seminar. This year the “Kurt Brumme Saal” of the Cologne museum of sports and Olympia gave the event the adequate atmosphere. The seminar is intended for decision-makers of the car parts industry and is designed for a limited number of attendees. This way the exchange of opinions about actual topics of the industry shall be stimulated.

Under the headline „Aftermarket 2012 – Words enough have been exchanged, let me at last see some data” the attendees dedicated themselves to the question, how the very positive trend of the industry can be carried forward and turned into a sustainable success for the individual actors. An important, yet too little acknowledged, instrument is the analysis of the local vehicle population in the area of relevance of a parts manufacturer or wholesaler; targeted on calculation sales potential and growing revenue.

All presentations received a positive response by the attendees. And even after the presentations topics like the possibilities of potential analysis and the different approaches to car parc analysis we extensively discussed. INSIGMA and abh agree to continue the event in the next year and establish it further.

Seminar “Aftermarket 2011” – Focus „Stock“

autoview_seminar2011Geomarketing was our topic again – but with a completely new focus during our seminar held on the 7th of July in Cologne. Under the headline “The right part at the right time on the right spot” we dedicated the event to how to optimize the stock in the automotive aftermarket. An article distribution oriented on the regional requirements determines the success of the businesses and dealers. Beyond that our speakers gave an overview about market data and market structures.

A positive atmosphere and intense discussions accompanied the entire event. We welcomed new attendees as well as known faces from last year. And we already receiving requests for such an event next year – and so we´re happy to announce it now! By the way – 2 times may be occasional, 3 times becomes tradition. And we´re absolutely determined to establish such a tradition with our aftermarket-seminar.







Seminar “Aftermarket 2010” – We think outside the box!
